About Diesel

Diesel is a happy, goofy young dog with a heart of gold and a zest for life! Around 2 years old and full of personality, this sweet Pitbull/Lab mix absolutely loves hugs, cuddles, and any opportunity for fun outdoor adventures. He's the kind of dog who will keep you smiling with his silly antics and joyful spirit, it's hard to have a bad day with Diesel by your side. Diesel is a confident, loyal boy with an energetic and affectionate nature. He can get excited when experiencing new people or environments, but he settles nicely after a few minutes and is learning more every day how to channel that enthusiasm. Starting with very little formal training, Diesel has made wonderful progress, he's working hard on his attention, leash manners, and ability to relax, and he's picking up new skills quickly thanks to his smart and eager-to-please personality. He loves engaging activities like tug, fetch, and nosework, but he's not 'go-go-go' all day, after he gets his exercise, Diesel is happy to unwind with a chew and relax near his people. On the property, he has shown respectful behavior around chickens and goats and is continuing to learn boundaries with cats. Smaller animals like rodents may require supervision and continued training. Diesel absolutely adores people and is working on developing calmer greetings so he can show off his best manners. He's also making steady progress around other dogs, doing well on walks and currently living calmly with three other dogs. With the right match and proper introductions, he could thrive in a home with a canine companion. Diesel would do best in an active home that can provide both physical exercise and continued positive training to help him reach his full potential.
