About Brisket

We resuced Brisket from the local humane society so we don't know too much about his background, but can tell it hasn't always been good. He has scars on his face and back of his head. He was brought in late last year as a stray, was adopted and returned and then we found him. He is between 3-4 years old. He has seperation anxiety and doesn't like to be left alone. He sleeps in a kennel at night and has kennel time once during the day, so a home with someone there most of the time is best. He is very food motivated, trains easily and loves walks. He responds to his name well and loves to curl up with you on the couch. He will sometimes tense up and growl at you if you touch him while he was sleeping, but you can usually tell him that's enough and he will relax again. He is okay with having his faced wiped and teeth brushed, loves baths and loves to be brushed. He is not fond of anything being done with his feet but we have been working on that. He lives with 2 other dogs. They get along most of the time but sparatically he will go after them. This is not a good environment for him or the other dogs.That's why we feel an only pet house would be best for him. He can also be a little timid around new people and growl and snap at them. Overall he is a sweet boy who needs some love & work. We are looking to rehome him with someone who has the time, energy and heart to deal with his 'issues'. We are afraid if we have to surrender him back to the humane society, he would probably end up being put down. He is a sweet boy that has obviously been mistreated in the past and deserves so much more.
