About Frederick

Frederick - 'Freddie' is a 1 year old Hairy Hairless Chinese Crested male who is looking for his forever home. He weighed 12 pounds at the end of April. Freddie is crate trained and does well in the house. We do use a belly band on him when he's loose just because up until recently, he was still intact. Freddie absolutely loves everyone - kids, cats, other dogs, you name it. Freddie loves to play with anyone that's willing to give him a little attention. He is a lap dog when he isn't wrestling around on the floor with his stuffed animals/toys. Freddie walks well on a leash and stands well on the grooming table. He's not the biggest fan of a bath or getting groomed but he tolerates it pretty well. Freddie loves to go in the car with his people, shopping or just being around his people in general. He's not a barker but will whine (if he's in his crate) when he has to go potty. Freddie has the sweetest, kindest, most comical personality. He does get crated if we aren't home or he can't be supervised. Freddie is good with other dogs (male/female, large/small) and especially loves having another dog to play with him. He has grown up with cats and may chase if they run but is respectful of them if they don't want him around. He Loves kids and has grown up around several (ages 2-6.) After letting him grow up a little (and having x-rays done by our vet), we have found that Freddie has a Luxating Patella (Grade II) on his left rear leg & a Luxating Patella (Grade I) on his right rear leg. Freddie does not have any pain but will occassionally lift one of his back rear legs after running/playing hard or if laying awkwardly for an extended period. We are not his breeder (they have since retired) nor was he ever bred. Freddie has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. He is on a monthly preventative. Our vet did also have to pull a few puppy teeth that erupted but never fell out. Freddie will need continued training as he is still just a puppy. We want to find a family who will love and dote on this sweet boy just as we have. Freddie's new family will receive his hard sided crate, some of the food that he eats, his toys, collar, leash, his preventative, shampoo/conditioner, grooming supplies and all veterinary paperwork (x-rays can be emailed to new family for their records/vet.) Please understand that Freddie is loved and doted on daily and will have a forever home with us if he doesn't find another. His fee is $1,000 which does not cover what we paid for him, medical care, grooming, supplies, etc. Please do your research on this breed before inquiring.
