About Stevie

Stevie is a loving and fun loving 5 1/2 year old female, Akita. She loves taking walks, lounging about the yard and playing vigorously with throw toys for 5 minute increments. She has never met a human that she didn't want to shower with kisses and get to know better. She is quite nosey and loves companionship. She is not a fan of thunderstorms or fireworks. She was adopted at 5 months old but her owner sadly passed away about 3 years later. She has been taken care of by her remaining human family as best as they could for the past 1 1/2 years. Her family is sadly rehoming her so Stevie can live her best life. Her human family cannot properly afford her everyday care AND there was an incident where Stevie may have harmed a cat in the home in her excitement but fortunately this was prevented. Out of great care and concern for the cats AND due to the fact that Stevie is now restricted in the home and not happy about it, her family knows she can live a happier and freer life with a new adoptive family. Stevie's veterinary's office adore her and have worked on moving her into the quality home that she deserves. Due to her size (80ish lbs) and breed this has not been easy. You truly will not find a more loving and kind dog than Stevie. She was raised in a home with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. I cannot imagine she would have trouble with children but we do not know as she has not been around young children.
