Houdini is 80lbs of gentle, goofy nanny dog who was rescued off the streets of Bakersfield. He was injured from a chain around his neck, hungry, scared, and ready to give up. With love and lots of food he is ready for adoption! Houdi is ready for duty! He has the sweet, patient temperament of his Great Pyrenees side and the goofy, mischievous streak of his Husky self. He loves to run and zoom with female dogs, and is protective of his people with male dogs on a case by case basis. He is making great progress with crate training for separation anxiety most likely from his abandonment. He is a great fit for a family who is adventurous, physically active, and/or who has fenced land with need for a livestock guardian. I am willing to sponsor his neuter if needed. He is an incredible dog who showcases the best of both breeds and will thrive with active kids / teens.
