Honey is the most amazing dog to our family. She is very calm, loving, independent, and makes a great companion for my kids. She is very loyal and protective. We adopted her from a rescue as a puppy for our five kiddos. Unfortunately, we did not do a good job socializing her. She stays in our house most of the time or our backyard and has not spent time with other dogs or people besides our family members. We have discovered that when my kids have friends come over, she responds aggressively. She has nipped at them and one time a superficial bite occurred. No skin was broken. We really don't want her to go to a kill shelter but we cannot find a rescue or shelter that will take her. However, we also do not feel that it is safe to keep her at our house when we have kids coming in and out. My kids are very sad and this will be a great loss for them. However, we do feel it's the right thing to do. We are hoping that this beautiful dog can go to people who are willing to train and socialize her. When other people are not around, she is amazing. She has strong, hearding instincts and loves to go outdoors in our backyard. She would make a wonderful companion for any person that does not have a lot of people coming through the house and can work with her. Please help us.
