Background: Rescued from Amish country at 7 months old. When first rescued, Stiles was terrified of everything. Since then, he has come a long way and is now a loving, playful shepherd who bonds deeply with his people. NOT UTD on shots WITHOUT record. NOT Fixed. Unknown with kids. Good with dogs - currently lives with a small dog. Unknown with cats. House trained. Crate trained but does not need it - free roams successfully. Currently allowed on furniture and sleeps in the bedroom on a dog bed. Bathroom door must stay closed or he will drink from the toilet. Any known medical issues?: None Disclosed. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Yes - rescued from Amish country and was absolutely terrified of everything when first rescued. ENERGY LEVEL: High. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Low. Weighs unknown. Currently on Purina One food. Good with car rides?: No - gets car sick. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. He is unsure at first and likes to sniff people out before fully warming up. Loves: Ice cubes, BALLS, peanut butter, playing in water, water ball play, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, playing with dogs, fetch, BALL, sleeping near his person, ropes, chew bones, squeaky plush toys, and did I mention BALLS? Important Behavior Notes: Protective of home and person. Has jumped a 3-foot dog park fence one time. Thrives with companionship and activity. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: No. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: No. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: He's a goofy goober. He loves being around you cuddling up to you and being picked up like the giant baby he is. He's a good boy. The sweetest. When I cry he brings me his ball and he's always checking on you when you're upset or sick. Re Homing because�'�|: Current Shepherd Parent is being forced to move out of state with family and is heartbreakingly unable to take Stiles along. Stiles deserves stability, love, and someone able to continue helping him feel safe and secure. He will make an amazing companion for the right person.
