BRODY is a 3 year old, 19.6 pound Scottish Terrier Poodle mix. This handsome little guy was owner surrendered to rescue and is now looking for a patient family willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. BRODY is a quiet, calm boy with a sweet personality once he settles in. He can be shy at first and does have some trust issues with new people, especially if approached too quickly or aggressively, but once you earn his trust he becomes incredibly devoted and loyal. His foster describes him as lovable, handsome, and a true lap dog who enjoys lounging close to his people. He also has a playful side and loves to wag his tail and enjoy life once he feels comfortable. BRODY does well with calm, passive dogs and could live happily with another small dog or as an only dog soaking up all the attention for himself. He is not a good fit for a home with kids and we do not know how he feels about cats. He is not much of a barker and prefers a home where he can relax and feel secure. BRODY is housebroken and leash trained. A fenced yard would be nice for him but may not be absolutely necessary in the right home. He does not enjoy being left alone for long periods and has shown some separation anxiety, likely connected to his trust and adjustment period. He enjoys both relaxing in your lap and having some time to play and explore, so he would fit best with a family that understands his balance of companionship and downtime. At night, BRODY will happily sleep in the big bed with his people, though he is also content sleeping in a dog bed nearby until he feels fully at home. Once he trusts you, you will have a loyal little shadow by your side. BRODY is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
