Location: Oakville Wa Name: Jax Age: 2yr old Style: All natural black and tan Sex: Nuetered male Could Jax be your night in shining armor? He has been with me for several months now and was away at training inside a prison for nearly 2 months. He learned a good amount of great basic obedience but the environment was just to much for him to handle. Once pulled from the training program he came back to my place and learned the house and pack again. He loves to play and be one with his handler. He is in a very high volume, mixed sex house but is truly happiest with the opposite sex of dog. He has been around little dogs but prefers his size or close to it. His prey drive is higher with small dogs and he pounces and slaps hard with his paws. Jax is a gentleman in the bath for grooming and a very good boy for his walks. In an open high traffic environment he's very observant and requires some redirection if he gets too excited. Jax still doesn't know his size very well or that people mean good. He needs to learn that everyone is friends and not foe and he will never be hurt again and live happily from now on. He's a little hand shy but doing way better. We suggest he's placed in a home with teens or older. No small children due to his . . . .lack of smarts to life still. Or be placed in a home with Doberman knowledgeable kids with parents who help everyone learn together. Jax came to me skin and bones in a tarp covered trap in the back of a truck during one of our famous PNW rain storm. He was live trapped as he was found running loose and scared for several weeks. He was so scared of everyone, but once out of the trap and in a friendly environment he opened up and showed us that dobie love. Jax history was found from a chip that led us on quite the adventure. March of 2025 he was found in Oregon with his suspected brother on the top of a mountain alone. They went through the local rescue for adoption and only his brother was adopted. The rescue then transferred him to the local humane society. He was there several weeks and no adoption. Jax was then offered in their free adoption event where he was immediately taken into a home. His story didn't end there. 4 months after going home his owner decided Jax wasn't bonding fast enough and started to not really care about him. During thanksgiving Jax was let out into his unfenced yard and his owner decided to then go on vacation. A week later when she returned Jax was gone and she didn't look thinking a neighbor took him in. No neighbors took him in, he took to the woods and started his survival journey again, a second time. He was out running for at least 4 weeks that we know of. He stayed strong. Jax is now back up to his full health, trained and ready to find that Doberman loving family he knows is out there.
