About Skye

�%9D%A4��%8FAvailable For Adoption�%9D%A4��%8F Welcome Skye to SOCKS! Skye is a 7 month old, 22 lb English Cocker Spaniel. She's as spunky as she is cute. Skye never meets a stranger and she adores other dogs. We're not sure how she does around cats, but she's very curious and nosey, so cats may not appreciate her trying to make friends with them. She's a bundle of energy and loves to chase a ball and play with her toys, but she also has her moments where she'll settle down and curl up next to you (or on your lap if you let her). Skye isn't housebroken yet, but she's working on it. She's also working on learning some basic commands like sit, kennel, and waiting to be released when opening doors to go in and out of the house. She's a fast learner and eager to please! She's generally a very quiet girl and will only bark occasionally if she gets startled. She is up to date on all her vaccines and prevention and has a clean bill of health from the vet. She has had a few issues with UTIs in the past, but her last urinalysis came back clear and the vet believes that going through a heat cycle and allowing her to mature anatomically will significantly decrease the chances of her having recurring UTI issues going forward.�%9D%A4��%8F **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references, and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and be able to provide proof of purchase of heartworm prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved.�%A0 Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.
