This is Stella. She is truly the sweetest, most loving little girl. She is affectionate, loyal, cuddly, and loves being around people. She deserves a home where she can run, play, and get the attention and consistency she needs. Unfortunately, my life changed very unexpectedly two months ago when my boyfriend was involved in a severe motorcycle accident. He now requires around-the-clock care for an undetermined amount of time, and I have become one of his primary caregivers. Between that and living in a very small loft apartment, I have not been able to give Stella the life and attention she deserves. Because of the apartment environment and her being alone more often than she should be, I've had to place her on anxiety medication because I've received continual noise complaints due to her alert barking. I have a very strict lease agreement and can be evicted if the complaints persist. I've hired a dog walker to come when I can't be there but it's costly and not sustainable. Stella is not aggressive or bad - she's simply a dog living in a small space without the exercise, yard, and stability she needs right now. She deserves better than this situation. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I love her enough to know that keeping her in an environment where she's stressed and under-stimulated is not fair to her. My hope is to find her a loving home with someone patient, active, and preferably with a backyard where she can thrive and be part of a family. I am happy to provide more information about her personality, routines, and medical history, as well as photos or answer any questions.
