Peeky recently became part of our home after my Mother in Law passed away a month ago. She showed up on my MIL's back porch about a year prior and took up residence on her back porch, where she mostly lived outside or on the back porch. After my Mother in Law passed, we took in her 3 cats (2 are bonded siblings, always indoors). We also already had 3 cats of our own. Unfortunately, Peeky has had immense difficulty integrating with the other cats. We took her to the vet recently but since she is microchipped, we have to wait 10 days before she is treated to see if her original owner comes forward- as of this posting, we are at day 8. Peeky is incredibly sweet with humans, and loves pets/brushies, catnip, and will sit on a lap. Her previous owner had her declawed, which means she doesn't have a great means to protect herself. She doesn't like her tummy rubbed or her paws touched, but she is incredibly human social. We will be taking her to the vet to get treated and vaccinated. The adoption fee is purely to make sure that whoever is taking her in is serious and kind. We love Peeky and want the best for her, as such, she really needs to live without other pets. She uses the litter box, doesn't love the cat carrier, but once she's in it, she is fine and rides in cars really well.
