About Jax

Jax is looking for a new home after being surrendered back to Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He originally came to Wisconsin in March 2025 and was adopted by his current owner, but due to recent lifestyle changes, she is no longer able to give Jax the time, exercise, and mental stimulation he needs. Meet Jax Jax is an approximately 2-year-old Husky mix with a fun, happy personality and lots of love to give. He is a friendly, medium-energy boy who enjoys staying active and being included in daily life. Jax loves going for walks, playing fetch, and is especially obsessed with balls. He is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on adventures. Jax is also a smart boy who already knows commands like sit, down, and shake. Jax is great with other dogs and has done well with children. Because he can get excited when meeting new people and is still working on not jumping up to say hello, older kids would likely be the best fit for him. He is an all-around social, affectionate dog who loves attention and activity. With continued consistency and outlets for both physical exercise and mental enrichment, Jax will make an excellent companion for an active family or individual. Jax has not been cat tested. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. �'��3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option.
