Meet Rugger ��ժ Rugger is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix weighing about 70 pounds with a big personality and an even bigger heart. After being abandoned at a local grooming business, this handsome boy quickly won over the staff with his rough-and-tough exterior and loyal, affectionate nature. Rugger is a large, vocal dog who loves to play and fetch and thrives when he has an outlet for his energy. He is highly toy motivated, making playtime the fastest way to his heart. While Rugger has done well with the dogs he has been tested with, he is not a fan of cats and will need a cat-free home. Because of his size, energy level, and strong personality, Rugger requires an experienced owner who understands working breeds and can provide structure, consistency, and continued guidance. In the right home, Rugger will make an incredibly devoted and entertaining companion for someone who appreciates a smart, active dog with lots of character.
