Looking for a new home after the unexpected passing of her owner, Xena is energetic and loves human attention. She would love to be your husky companion! She has lived in a fenced backyard most of her life, and she does not dig or escape fences. She does fairly well on leash also, and she is well-motivated by treats for training. True to husky character, Xena guards her food and treats aggressively, so she must be given treats and food separately from other dogs (ideally should be given meals in a crate), so that she can securely eat without defending her resources. Xena is spayed and likely microchipped, since her late owner adopted her from a local rescue. She has shared a yard with a few other dogs of similar size and seems to get along with other dogs her size (apart from meal time). She does well with adult humans, but we have not seen her around children. She sits on command and is very attentive to human commands. With the right environment, Xena will flourish and add much joy to someone's life!
