About OCHITA and WOOKY

OCHITA and WOOKY are sweet 5 year old Shih Tzu sisters are looking for a loving home together. They were surrendered to rescue because their owner is moving into an apartment and can't keep them. OCHITA is white and brown and weighs 18 pounds. Her blonde sister WOOKY weighs 15 pounds. OCHITA and WOOKY can be a little skittish at first with new people, but once they feel comfortable they are affectionate little girls who enjoy being held, petted, and giving kisses to the people they trust. WOOKY is the more playful and outgoing of the two when outside and gets excited to explore the yard. OCHITA is a little more food motivated and will happily sample someone else's meal if given the opportunity. Neither girl is very interested in toys, and WOOKY is a bit picky about treats. They both prefer softer treats over biscuit-style treats. Both girls get along well with other dogs and enjoy following their person from room to room. We do not know how they are with cats or kids. They are doing very well with potty training. Their foster takes them outside every 2 to 3 hours and they will also use pee pads indoors if needed. OCHITA and WOOKY are leash-friendly, ride well in the car, and love spending time outside, so a fenced yard would be ideal for them. They do bark when they hear noises outside or when someone comes through the door, so apartment living may not be the best fit. At night, they usually sleep in dog beds beside their foster mom's bed, though WOOKY will occasionally sneak onto the bed for cuddles. OCHITA and WOOKY are both spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, have had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. OCHITA has dry eyes and requires daily eye drops, but she is very cooperative and easy to care for. The drops are inexpensive but she will need them for the rest of her life. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
