About BUG

LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY - Within a one hour drive to Pensacola, FL BUG is a sweet little Chihuahua mix puppy who was born into rescue on 3/14/2026 after his pregnant mom Buttercup was surrendered to us. BUG is a sweet little cuddle bug who plays hard with his siblings and loves little toys and tiny tennis balls. He will hop up for a little loving and then head right back off to play or curl up in a soft furry bed for a nap. He can be a little shy at first but has such a gentle personality. BUG would likely do well with kids and would probably enjoy another playful dog in the home, though he would also be fine as an only puppy with plenty of attention and companionship from his people. He is playful, curious, and enjoys exploring before settling down with his siblings for naps. At night they curl up together nearby in dog beds. BUG is already microchipped and has had two sets of puppy vaccines. He will need his third set in about three weeks, which will be handled by the rescue along with his neuter when he is old enough. His rabies vaccine will also be completed at that time and all of that is covered in the adoption fee. Because he is not fully vaccinated yet, BUG cannot go outside until after his third puppy shot to keep him safe from parvo. Since he has pending vet appointments, he is local adoption only, within a one hour drive to Pensacola. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
