We are looking to find a loving new home for our dog, Chip. He is a 12-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer with a lot of life still in him. He is healthy, potty trained, eats and sleeps well, and has never had any major health issues. Chip would thrive most with a retired couple or a single senior man or woman who enjoys companionship, going on walks, and giving him attention. He absolutely loves people and adores being petted. He is happiest when he gets exercise, attention, and gets to stay close to his person. He still loves to play fetch and has plenty of energy, but once he gets his walk or exercise in, he is very calm and relaxed for the rest of the day. He is wonderful with children and very friendly with people. While he does not enjoy living with other dogs, he is not aggressive on walks and does not react much to other animals around him. He simply prefers being the only dog in the home. Interestingly, Chip grew up around cats and actually does very well with them. He has always been gentle and comfortable around cats in the home. This is not an easy decision for our family, and we truly want to find someone who will love and care for him well during this season of his life. We know the right person is out there for him. Please message me privately if you think you may be a good fit for Chip or know someone who might be.
