About Meili

Meili is in a foster home in Great Falls, but she can be transported to other parts of the state. Meili has come a long way! She was found stray, it appears she was abandoned. She was very fearful at first, but now that she trusts us, she has become the Golden Retriever of Chows. Very friendly and sweet, not bothered by anything. She is learning basic commands and making great progress. She gets along great with other dogs. She does need an owner with plenty of dog experience, as she is lacking in confidence and cautious of new people and places. She needs someone with the skill to help her become comfortable in her new home. But the reward for the patience and effort is huge. To watch this dog blossom is very rewarding. She needs a secure fenced yard to keep her safe. She has not done well being kenneled or crated, we are making progress on that. We believe her previous owner shaved her, but her fur seems to be growing in, just irregularly. Hopefully over time it will all come back in. She has been spayed and had all her vaccinations, and has a clean bill of health. Her current weight is 41 pounds, she should weigh about 45 pounds.
