About Chica

Active, agile, adventurer�'�| but also a great cuddle buddy. This sweet girl was found at a gas station off of I-35 in San Antonio. She is crate trained, knows some commands (sit, shake, down). Overall seems to be in great health. She is very smart, very active and agile, and loves to run. She does demonstrate some prey drive, and has tried to chase my chickens, so a fenced yard is a must. I do not know how she is with other dogs or cats, but she seems to be very confident and somewhat dominant, so maybe being the only Pet would be good for her. We have been unable to have her with our pet dogs due to an autoimmune disorder with one of our pets. With her unknown health history, we are unable to risk it. After she gets out her energy, she loves to curl up on the couch in the smallest ball. She lets me touch all over her (feet, ears, mouth, etc). She is great in her kennel, and has excellent house behavior (no accidents, no scavenging, no destructive behavior). She loves soft toys, and does not destroy them. She would be an amazing hiking, outdoor buddy�'�| She will absolutely be the most loyal and eager girl! She does have a microchip, however we have exhausted all options to attempt to find her original owners, and I suspect she was dumped due to her high energy needs. We adore this girl, however, we are unable to keep her and do not want to drop her off at a shelter because we really want to find the perfect match for her personality, energy, and lifestyle.
