Sloane Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin on 5/29 Sloane is currently in Georgia and needs a committed foster or adopter to secure her spot on transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Friday 5/29. A committed home is required for Sloane to make the trip north, and we're hopeful her perfect family is out there waiting. Meet Sloane Sloane is a 7-year-old female Walker Hound mix with a gentle soul and an easygoing personality. This sweet southern girl has truly mastered the art of slow living. Sloane is calm, polite, and happy to take life one sniff at a time. She enjoys leisurely walks with plenty of opportunities to stop and explore the world around her. Sloane is the type of dog who would be perfectly content relaxing by your side, joining you for quiet companionship, and soaking up the simple joys of daily life. Shelter staff describe her as a very sweet, mellow girl who is easy to be around. She is housebroken, kid friendly, and dog friendly, though she prefers calmer canine companions over rough or rowdy playmates. Sloane is not a match for homes with cats or other small animals, as she does enjoy chasing squirrels, rabbits, and similar critters. If you're looking for a lower-key companion who enjoys fresh air, neighborhood strolls, and relaxing with her people, Sloane may be your girl.
