About Kitala

I'm Kitala. I Made It Out. Now I've Got Something To Ask You. I'm currently in California, but my bags are packed, I'm ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I'll travel to you! I'm 8 years old. A gorgeous Husky girl with bright eyes, a big voice, and a body that's been through more than it should have. When I was found, I was alone. No name. No microchip. No one looking for me. I was thin and had a lot of issues like itchy skin and more. And still, I talked. That's what Huskies do. We communicate. We try to stay connected, even when we're scared or hurting. The shelter called me vocal. I wasn't being difficult. I was overwhelmed. Confused. Trying to understand how I ended up there. I was almost euthanized before Angel Dog Alliance stepped in and saved me. Now I'm safe. I'm at the vet getting my health back, finally receiving the care I should have had all along. My skin is healing. My body is recovering. I'm resting, eating, and slowly starting to feel better. And the more comfortable I get, the more my real self shows up. I'm gentle. I'm thoughtful. I notice kindness quickly. Once I realize I'm safe, I lean into it. I don't need chaos or pressure. I need a calm place to land while I continue healing and decompressing. A soft bed. Patience. Someone who understands that older dogs still have so much life and love left in them. Because I do. I'm not done. Not even close. I survived being forgotten. I survived being uncomfortable in my own body. And now I'm finally getting the chance to become who I was always supposed to be. Loved. Safe. Home. Got inquiries about this dog?
