Nova Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin on 5/29 Nova is currently in Georgia and needs a committed foster or adopter to secure her spot on transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. A committed home is required for Nova to make the trip north, and we're hopeful her perfect family is out there waiting. Meet Nova Nova is a 3-year-old female Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix looking for a fresh start after being surrendered by her owner. At her initial meet and greet, Nova was a little unsure around strangers, which is understandable with all the recent changes in her life. However, she showed no signs of aggression and quickly warmed up once given a little reassurance. After a few pets, Nova happily leaned in for attention and showed just how sweet and affectionate she really is. Shelter staff describe Nova as a super nice, friendly dog who has been easy to handle and pleasant to be around. Per her previous owner, Nova does well with other adult dogs, both large and small, though she is not a fan of puppies. She has also been around children and reportedly does well with them. Because Nova previously lived in a home, she is likely potty trained, crate trained, and already has a nice foundation. She also appears to be decent on leash, making her a smoother transition for someone looking for a dog past the puppy stage. She would be a good fit for most homes including a single person, retired couple, family dog, etc. Nova is a lovely dog who seems ready to settle back into home life with a family of her own.
