Los Angeles, CA- LA City - South Los Angeles Shelter- ID #A2269853 - TUTU' - ADORABLE, SWEET YOUNG SENIOR CHOW MIX IN URGENT NEED DUE TO BEING SICK, ORANGE ALERTED, NEEDS TO EXIT ASAP X URGENT- AT LA CITY SHELTER WHICH IS MORE THAN FULL - PEOPLE FRIENDLY AND ENJOYS PETS, NEEDS A LOVING & RESPONSIBLE HOME, OR FOSTER & RESCUE ASAP Help! The LA city shelter is full and is asking for help for dear Tutu. Please help us find a good home, or foster and rescue, for this very adorable older boy who came to the shelter as a stray on 4/30. While he was chipped, sadly, his owner never showed. Tutu is listed as 8 years old and 61 lbs. The poor guy arrived with eye discharge, may have some imparired vision, and has a stiff gait. While at the shelter, he has now come down with a severe upper respiratory infection noted on 5/5. While he is now on antibiotics, the shelter has now put him on the Orange list which means he is very urgent and needs out asap! Despite all of this, Tutus is sweet. He was also tested with other dogs in playgroup to which he had a Gentle & Dainty playstyle, noted as having appropriate greetings, but seemed dog selective, possibly because he is not feeling great. We were given his complete behavior and medical notes, which can be shared, and should be requested and or interested. If you are interested to adopt Tutu, and can give him a forever and responsible home he so deserves, and follow with a vet, please contact the shelter directly using his link: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/LACT3/A2269853 and/or by calling the LA City shelter at (888) 452-7381 and ask for his ID. If you can foster, or foster to adopt (where a rescue would then help with medical), please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with his placement, and would try to pair you with a willing rescue. Please note rescue groups usually need a committed foster to usually save a dog. Tutu could also uses pledges towards medical for his rescue, if you are unable to foster, but want to help in some way.
