About FAWN

Hi, I'm Fawn! I'm a 2.5-year-old German Wirehair Pointer mix with a cute face, a playful spirit, and just a tiny bit of shyness when meeting new people. I can have a little bit of 'stranger danger,' especially with men, so I'm not the kind of dog who instantly runs up to everyone like they're my best friend. But if you give me patience, kindness, and a little time to feel safe? I open up beautifully. And once I do, you'll see my super cute, playful personality come out! One of my favorite things is the toy bin in the shelter play yard. I LOVE toys and get so excited to run around and play. I'm also a pretty high-energy girl, so I'd love a home that can keep me active and engaged. I'm said to do well with other dogs (the shelter will be testing that soon), and I've also been around older kids successfully. Because I can be a little nervous and sensitive, younger children probably wouldn't be the best fit for me. One thing I do know for sure? No cats, please. I'm not spayed yet, but my adoption fee includes a spay voucher to help with that. What I really need is someone who understands that not every dog shows their best self immediately. Some of us need a little time before we let our walls down-but when we do, the bond is something really special.
