About Anna

Meet Anna this beautiful 9 month old Labrador Retriever mix girl who is quietly waiting for someone patient enough to see the amazing dog she is becoming. Life can feel a little scary for her at first, especially around new people and unfamiliar situations, but underneath that shy exterior is a gentle, loving pup with so much potential. She tends to feel more comfortable around women and thrives when given kindness, patience, and time to build trust at her own pace. Every small victory - a wag of her tail, leaning in for affection, or happily following you around the yard - feels incredibly rewarding with this sweet girl. One of her favorite things in the world is going for walks. Once the leash comes out, her confidence shines a little brighter, and she happily trots along enjoying every sniff and adventure. She also absolutely loves water and toys, bringing out her playful puppy side when she feels safe and comfortable. Other dogs help her feel more secure too, and she enjoys having canine companions around. Because she is still building confidence, she will need a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and continue learning that the world is not such a scary place after all. This special girl may not be the type to run up to strangers right away, but for the person willing to give her patience, understanding, and love, she will be an incredibly loyal companion. Watching her blossom into a confident, happy dog will be a journey worth every moment. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida.
