ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE CHOW/AKITA X AT GREAT RISK IN HIGH KILLSHELTER, OWNER ARRESTED- needs ADOPTER OR FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE- SEE SWEET VIDEO WE HAVE HELP!!! BUTCH WAS TAKEN INTO THE SHELTER ON 4/9 AFTER HIS OWNER WAS ARRESTED AND LISTED AS 'RESCUE NEEDS' WHICH CAN EXPEDITE HIM TO THE RED/EUTH LIST ANYTIME, HE CAN STILL BE ADOPTED OR RESCUED. THE SHELTER IS OVERFULL and EUTHANIZING YOUNG ADOPTABLE DOGS FOR MINOR REASONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR EITHER A CHOW OR AKITA OR DOG SAVVY HOME, OR A FOSTER AND RESCUE FOR BUTCH. This sweet boy seen in video being loving, and has been kenneled with another dog so he seems to be dog friendly. Here is the link to his video: https://youtu.be/ddM5fMnxNlg The shelter told us, 'At the time of impound, Butch was growling and barking, and once at the shelter, was observed to be displaying fearful behavior. Since coming into our care, Butch has been making improvements and has begun to interact well with staff (as seen in the pics you have) and participating in playgroups. Although he has been marked as Needs Rescue, Butch is not marked 'Red' nor does he have a Deadline at this time.' However, his status can change without notice simply because they are full and he has been there more than 30 days. Being 'Rescue Needs' means he will be added to the euthanasia list, possibly today, and wil;l then need to be saved usually 72 hours or less.
