Meet Chandler - a strikingly handsome, extra tall Great Dane with a larger-than-life personality to match his size. This big boy is strong, confident, and carries himself with an alpha presence, so he will need an experienced Great Dane owner who understands giant breeds and can provide the structure, leadership, and consistency he thrives under. Chandler is still learning the finer points of social skills and playtime with other dogs. He absolutely wants to play and interact, but because of his size and strength, he can be rough and overenthusiastic while figuring things out. He does best with medium and large dogs who can match his energy and help guide appropriate play behavior. Small dogs are not a good fit simply because Chandler is unaware of just how big he truly is. This handsome guy already knows 'sit' and 'stay,' and he responds well to guidance, but he will continue to need ongoing training and boundaries to help him become the very best version of himself. Chandler is smart and eager, but like many young giant breeds, he can become destructive if left unattended and uncrated. A secure crate setup while his humans are away is a must for him. Despite his strong personality, Chandler has a loving side and enjoys being part of the family. He gets along well with cats and enjoys companionship from both humans and canine friends. With patience, leadership, continued training, and plenty of love, Chandler has all the potential to mature into an incredible lifelong companion.
