Bernese Mountain Dog mix

Lola is looking for an adoptive home where she can continue to thrive in a calmer environment that better matches her personality and comfort level. She is currently with her adoptive family, who love her dearly and want to help find the best long-term fit for this sweet girl. Meet Lola Lola is an approximately 1-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog who has grown into an amazing companion. She originally came to our rescue alongside her littermates in summer 2025 after being surrendered, and she was later adopted by her foster family. Lola is a very sweet, affectionate, and loving dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She absolutely loves attention, cuddling on the couch, and going for walks with her family. Once she feels comfortable, she is incredibly loyal and enjoys simply being close to the people she trusts most. Her family shares that she has grown so much during her time with them, and this decision comes from wanting the very best fit for Lola long term. While she does wonderfully with her family and older children, she becomes anxious around young children who move quickly or unpredictably. Loud or sudden noises can also frighten her, and a busy household can sometimes feel overwhelming. Because of this, Lola would do best in a quieter home with a calmer routine, such as with a retired couple, single person, or family with older children. She will need time to adjust and feel comfortable in a new environment, but once she settles in, she bonds deeply with her people. Lola is very well trained and has excellent house manners. She is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and even reliable off leash with her family. She does jump up when excited, which her family is continuing to work on. She is also good with other dogs and cats, and her family feels a confident resident dog could really help her continue building confidence. She would thrive with a patient adopter who understands shy or sensitive dogs and will give her the time, structure, and reassurance she needs to feel safe.
