About Medusa

Female Rottweiler seeking experienced rescue, foster, or adult-only home placement. She is a fearful/reactive dog who has become increasingly stressed in a home with children and is no longer a safe fit for our family. Due to multiple bite/correction incidents involving both adults and children, she must be placed with an experienced handler or rescue familiar with behavioral rehabilitation and large guardian breeds. She is not an aggressive dog in every situation, but she struggles significantly with fear, overstimulation, and stress responses. She needs a calm, structured environment with very experienced handling, proper management, and no young children. She would likely do best as the only pet while being professionally evaluated. This is an extremely difficult decision being made for the safety of both the dog and our children. We are looking for a responsible rescue or qualified placement that understands reactive dogs and can honestly assess her needs and quality of life moving forward. Vaccination records and additional behavioral details can be provided privately.
