About Nellie

Nellie is a beautiful working line German Shepherd pulled from a local shelter in Pinellas County, Florida. Foster describes her as being very nice and very shy upon first meeting. At the same time very energetic. Knows her crate, listens to a command to go there especially when it's the time to eat or go to bed. No problem staying in the crate the whole night. Had only one toilet incident at home. Currently being fostered with a resident male husky. She takes well to him correcting her from time to time, but she tries to lick his face. Great kisser. She does very well on leash walks. Maintains tension but does not 'pull'. Shes a leaner and likes to lean against her person when leashes and idle- watering plants or standing around. Attempted to cat test her but a busy house made for many distractions. Was in a house with several cats for 4 days and did not seem phased when walking by. Included in this fee is also life- long group training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.
