About Jax

Jax was found as a stray at about 8-10 weeks old and brought in to a high kill rural shelter. He is currently being fostered by our founder and director. He is a high drive and intense sport and working prospect. He is extremely biddable, loves all people and dogs, and avoids cats. He is crate trained and mostly house broken. Jax has high food and toy drive, loves to swim, and is a club-level bite sport prospect. He has no noise or surface sensitivities and is confident in new environments. He has genetically full grips and wonderful possession. He is NOT a pet and companion homes will not be considered. He has a tendency to redirect with corrections and during grooming which tells us this is a serious dog once mature. An extremely active pet home may be considered for the right applicant. No children under 8. This dog is a full time job and a lifestyle, not an easy companion. Embark DNA completed! The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and other needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Parrish, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. This adoption fee includes a $150 refundable neuter deposit to be reimbursed after an age-appropriate alteration around 18 months old.
