Meet Rain ӕ%8F Rain is the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart before you even realize it's happening. When she first arrived, she seemed to carry the weight of the world on her tiny shoulders-timid, unsure, and still learning that she was finally safe. Found as a stray while still lactating, it was heartbreakingly clear she had recently had puppies. For the first two weeks in foster care, Rain searched for them constantly, looking for babies that were no longer there. Watching her slowly let go of that sadness and begin to feel safe again has been both devastating and beautiful. Rain absolutely loves cuddling and wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She's the type of dog who acts like you've returned from sea after a five-minute grocery run, greeting you with excited zoomies, happy jumps, and overwhelming joy. She bonds deeply and loves hard, even with people she's only just met. She's wonderfully adaptable energy-wise-happy to curl up quietly on the couch or bed for hours, but also excited for walks, playtime, and adventures. Rain especially loves fetch with her orange and blue Chuck It balls, launching herself through the air in hilarious bunny hops while trying to catch the ball with her paws instead of her mouth. Her foster mom says she uses her paws like little hands and swears she could probably climb a ladder if she wanted to. Rain is incredibly smart and curious, always tilting her head dramatically when she hears a new sound or tries to figure something out. She rides great in the car and loves sticking her head out the window to sniff the world go by. She's also smart enough to unclip her own seatbelt at times, which honestly feels very on brand for this clever girl. Around the house, she spends most of her time cuddled up on the couch, in bed, on a lap, or carefully 'burying' her favorite bones in blankets and crates. Rain is nearly housebroken and has made huge progress since arriving in foster care. She responds beautifully to kindness and comfort-especially blankets, cuddles, and feeling included. Rain's ideal home is one filled with patience, affection, cozy beds, outdoor adventures, and humans who won't mind sharing their pillow'| because Rain certainly plans to. The right home won't just be adopting a dog-they'll be hitting the jackpot with this sweet, funny, bunny-hopping girl.
