About Luna

We adopted Luna when she was about 1.5 years old. She's a Great Pyrenees mix, about 75lbs with the personality of a Pyr and is the size of a golden retriever. We've had her for three years and she's been there for us during some difficult times. We love her dearly. It's clear that Luna loves her people. She just wants to be around us, go on walks, and play with her rope or spikey ball. You take her on a walk or share some popcorn and she's your best friend forever. We aren't sure what happened to Luna before we got her, but she struggles when confined or if she feels threatened, which most of the time is preemptive reactions. She's reactive when she feels uncomfortable and sometimes with other dogs. She has made so much progress since we adopted her, but she will lets you know when she needs her space. Our son is turning 1 this summer. It's obvious that Luna loves him as much as we do. However she doesn't like to be grabbed or caught by surprise, which can be any moment with a toddler. It breaks our hearts to find her a new home. We want what's best for her and our home isn't able to provide that any more. An ideal home for Luna would be where she's the only child, fur or human. She likes dogs smaller than her but we are not sure how'd she do in a home with another dog. We think she would do well with older kids, such as teenagers. Her smile will melt your heart, as it's clear she only does it for people she truly loves. She's a sweet beautiful girl that will love you whole heartedly.
