About LUCY

Adoption Fee: $400
Chihuahua mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Lucy is a beautiful 6 year old, 13 pound Chihuahua mix who was adopted from us several years ago and recently returned because her owners passed away. Her coloring and striking golden brown eyes are gorgeous, and pictures truly do not do her justice. She is sweet, healthy, and has just the right amount of energy for someone looking for a loving little companion and constant shadow. Lucy is a very loving girl with a personality that is impossible not to love. You've heard of Velcro dogs, well Lucy is more of a Gorilla Glue dog. Wherever you go, she wants to be right there with you. The second you sit down she wants to touch you, cuddle up close, or climb right into your lap if she gets the chance. She is affectionate, devoted, and happiest when she is soaking up love and attention from her person. Lucy does prefer to be the center of attention and would likely be happiest as an only dog, though she can adjust to having other little dogs around as long as she gets plenty of love and attention from her people. She has done well with her foster's young grandchildren. We do not know how she is with cats. Lucy is close to housebroken. She uses the doggy door consistently and usually goes outside to potty, but she still has occasional accidents inside while adjusting to a new routine. She enjoys being able to go out at will and would love to have a fenced yard. At night Lucy sleeps right beside her foster mom in bed and would happily stay there touching her person all night long if allowed. Lucy is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm-negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
