About Jackson

Jackson is a loving energetic 70lb purebred Australian Shepherd dog. He loves the outdoors and is great with adults and older kids. He has become a perfect snuggler and loves having his butt scratched and especially his face massaged when getting ready for bed/sleep. He is incredibly smart and easily trainable, would be excellent for both agility courses or farm work. He is house trained, beautiful and a sweetheart. He gets along with some dogs, but not if they are also alpha types since he has that alpha tendency. The reason we have to find another home for him after 7 loving years, is that he is anxious and fearful around our 2 year old toddler, and we have not been able to give Jackson the attention he needs now that we have our human baby. It breaks our hearts to part with him, but we know he needs a home where he can be more free and active than we can provide at this time. We are also open to having someone take care of him for a few years until our kid is a little older if that is what it takes to get him taken care of properly. We love Jackson so so much. and writing/posting this has caused many tears to be shed.
