Esca is a purebred Australian Sheppard in urgent need of a new home that loves him and is ready to be patient with him! Escanor is 5 years old, and a very loving boy who deserves a better environment than he currently is stuck with due too his family being forced to move off of a 100 acre farm, where he had all the room in the world, into a 2bdr duplex without a yard. Due to his situation change, he has developed some behavioral issues anyone taking him in would need to be ready to handle, and work back out of him. He has lots of social anxiety with new people and with other dogs. He did not get enough socializing growing up, and has ran after dogs who are strangers out of our hands before, but never bit another dog outside of the house. Esca has developed a resource guarding mindset, and has attacked our other dog multiple times when he wanders too near food, or even when people are eating around him. Due to his original owner he does not like when things are thrown in the house, or when people rough house around him at all. Esca has not been trained out of his nipping/herding behaviors, or his barking. His barking, as well as carpet and door scratching, is due to his intense separation anxiety and we believe a good owner with enough time and things for him to do to get his energy out during the day could help him with these things so much. Proper training techniques and patience will go a long way for Esca if he has access to people who can love him and give that to him. Not good with other dogs, or kids!
