Doobert is a little Pit Bull Labrador Retriever mix puppy that was found Thursday on 4/30/26 by local Police Officers as a stray in #LongBeach and taken to Long Beach Animal Care Service. Poor Doobert arrived barely weighing in at half his ideal body weight, eeking the scale at a staggering 28 pounds :O While Doobert has seen some incremental weight gain at the shelter over the last week, it has fluctuated due to stress and other factors at the shelter... meaning this little guy definitely needs out of the shelter through adoption or rescue to get help safely bulk up & get healthy. Due to Doobert's low body condition score the shelter is also concerned his weak immune system will put him in jeopardy when he contracts upper respiratory infection or another communicable disease.
