About Dallas

Dallas is a super loving, cuddly, energetic dog. He was originally at a home with six cats and himself, but once he turned a year old that family surrendered him to the San Diego Humane Society In 2023 my husband and I rescued him and brought him home He is a fantastic companion, especially while my husband was in the field for the military for months He is great with female dogs, especially female puppies He is great with kids, Unfortunately, the reason we are rehoming him is because our 16 month old is severely allergic to dogs and we've been working with his allergist to do everything we can but unfortunately nothing will work He does have a bit of separation anxiety if you were gone for more than 5 to 6 hours a day He is house trained, and potty trained but if you're gone for a long period of time in the day, he may poop inside the house to make a statement He also has chewed things up once in a while from the anxiety, but nothing severe He only whines when another dog passes by on walks. He's never been aggressive towards other dogs or any human. He does jump and get excited with new people, but quickly mellows out He constantly gives himself mats in his fur, so keeping up with grooming is very important, But has been a struggle for our family since the dog dander is what my son is severely allergic to and a lot of dog groomers around us do not accept Alaskan malamute or husky breeds. Overall, Dallas is such a loving dog who deserves a loving family who can give more attention to him than we physically can as much as we would love to have been able to be his forever home. It kills us that we cannot, but our son's health is our priority.
