Foster or Adopter Needed by 6/3/26 Saffron needs a committed foster or adopter to secure her ride from Fort Bend Animal Services in Texas to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 6/3/26 in partnership with Dog Is My CoPilot. Without a home commitment, she cannot make transport. Meet Saffron Saffron is a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix bursting with joy, energy, and playful puppy enthusiasm. This happy girl loves to run, play, and soak up all the attention she can get. Once she gets into the play yard, it is zoomies galore as she races around having the time of her life. Saffron has a fun-loving, energetic personality and can get a little jumpy when excited because she is just so eager to be involved and play. She already knows how to sit on command and is motivated by both treats and toys, especially squeaky toys, which she is happy to entertain herself with. Despite all her playful energy, Saffron also has a sweet, affectionate side. Once you start petting her, she melts into the attention and happily rolls over for belly rubs, which are one of her favorite things. Saffron is part of the shelter's Canine Leadership Program and has done very well with the other dogs and children involved in the program. Because of her energetic puppy play style, she may do best with older or dog-savvy children. She has not yet been tested with cats. She was not potty trained when she first entered foster care, but learned quickly and is expected to pick the routine back up easily with consistency and structure. She also walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out for adventures. Saffron would thrive in an active home ready to continue her training, give her plenty of exercise and playtime, and shower her with affection. She is a fun, loving dog who is ready for a forever family of her own.
