About Max

Looking for a soul dog for the quiet adventures - forest bathing, weekend camping, and everything in between? -------------------------- Meet Max, a 5 year old, 53 lb neutered male Husky with three legs and one very big heart. Max came to us from Lebanon, where he was found with gunshot wounds so severe his leg had to be amputated. He made it through all of that and never looked back. You would barely know he is a tripawd - he hikes, explores, and roams at an easy unhurried pace that makes every outing feel like a great idea. With people, Max is pure sweetness. He loves meeting new faces, is super affectionate, and is treat-motivated (beef liver is his favorite!). With other dogs, he is genuinely social - he does zoomies, pack walks, and loves being part of the crew. He does best with calm or medium energy dogs who read other dogs' cues and know when to slow down. He can also do well with confident cats who hold their ground. Max needs a home with a fenced yard where he can wander, sniff, and explore. If you enjoy an independent soul dog and love the outdoors, Max would make a wonderful adventure buddy and family member. ---------------- He is currently fostered in Seattle and available for in-person meetups for WA and BC adoptions.
