About Gus

Adoption Fee: $100
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Gus Gus, along with his brothers, Finn and Oliver, are practically identical triplets. Gus and his brothers rule the cat room, they dash over every time the door opens just to see what fun (or food) the staff or volunteers are bringing them. The three of them love laser light, cat trees, and the exercise wheel! The funniest part about all three of them is the desire to drape themselves across any and everything. They are so relaxed, they hang like wet noodles and our staff / volunteers just love it! Gus is a happy, affectionate and friendly kitten. Our staff calls him the couch potato. He would be happy just to sit next to or drape himself on the lap of his human all day. He loves attention and will definitely seek you out for snuggles and scratches. Gus is distinguishable (barely) from his brothers in that he has no white on him. Like them, he has an incredibly silky black coat that catches the sun, but he's more likely to be found curled up on a soft pillow or up high on our walking ledge, waiting for someone to come give him some love. Gus (and his brothers) will do well in your home, preferably with a kitty or pup companion and a tall cat tree. If interested in offering Gus a safe, loving, indoor life, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or email us at [email protected]. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
