Meet Buddy Buddy was rescued from a high kill shelter. How he found himself there, we don't know or understand. At 10 years old, Buddy should be spending his golden years with a person or family who loves him, and not in a cold, confining, concrete shelter. This boy is everything someone could want in a dog. Buddy looks to be a lab mix, weighing 51 lbs. He is calm, quiet, gentle, and easy-going. He is friendly and loves attention. Buddy walks easily on a leash. He loves playing and running in our play yards. He loves belly scratches. He also loves to just sit with his people and watch the world go by. Buddy is people and kid friendly. He is dog friendly and we'll test for cats. This handsome boy is housetrained; he loves treats and takes them so nicely from your hand. He travels well. Buddy has had a full vet check-up. He has some lipomas on his chest, but our vet is not worried about them, and they don't seem to bother Buddy. Buddy got his senior pup clean bill of health. If you're looking for a quiet companion to keep you company, Buddy is just that. His face might be a little frosty, but his eyes are filled with love and hope that someone will notice him and see all the goodness we see in him. Buddy is full of life and fun. He knows some commands, is well-mannered, and smart. We can picture this handsome doggo snoozing on your porch, curling up with you to read a book or watch TV, traveling and enjoying an easy-going friendship between dog and human. We think Buddy will transition easily into a home. This quiet and patient boy deserves a second chance to live out his life in love, don't you think? If interested in welcoming Buddy to your family and making his dreams come true, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
