ZAZU is a 13 month old, 8 pound Pomeranian who came to us after being returned to his breeder because he is considered too old to sell. He is going to make someone a very fun and loving little companion! ZAZU unfortunately spent much of his young life kenneled instead of learning how to just be a dog. When he first came into rescue, everything overwhelmed him and he did not know how to relax outside of a kennel. Since then, he has made so much progress and is learning that open spaces, car rides, and being part of a home are safe and enjoyable. ZAZU is a happy, sweet, bouncy little guy full of puppy energy who absolutely craves love and attention. He wants to be close to his people and is soaking up all the affection he can get. He loves belly rubs, pets, kisses, snacks, and following his foster mom around. He really needs a home where someone is around often. ZAXU gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home and would love a home where he has another playful small dog for companionship. We think he would do great with older children. He has not been around cats that we are aware of. He has not shown much interest in toys yet, but he is very interested in turning his foster mom's fingers into a game. ZAZU is mostly potty trained, although in a new environment he may do some marking at first, so consistency with potty breaks will be important. A fenced yard would give him a great outlet for all of his puppy energy. ZAZU enjoys spending time on the big bed at night, but eventually settles either in his open kennel beside the bed or on the floor nearby. ZAZU is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
