About Sponge

Sponge is spayed and microchipped. I believe she is also up to date on her shots. She currently is on an anti anxiety medication for stress as she occsionally urinates blood due to the stress. She has been checked for UTI's and other possible issues, however it is determined at this time that stress is the primary cause. She has been on medicated food in the past, however it did not appear to be helpful. Sponge is also given Cosequin regularly to support her bladder. Sponge is litter box trained, however she often pees on objects outside of the litter box. This is likely due to stress of other cats in the home at this time, however she did occasionally do this prior to living with other cats. Sponge would flourish in a home where she is a solo child. She has meshed well with a younger cat, however she does not enjoy playing in the traditional sense that cats play. She has been in a home with dogs in the past and did well with a dog that showed no interest in her. She does not like loud noises, often expressing anger if you cry or laugh too loudly. Her boundaries are very much so on her terms. She requires a lot of patience and love and will show it back to you in her own way. Sponge enjoys snoozing nearby while you are doing an activity. She also enjoys rubbing her face on pens, gently being brushed, and playing with cat wands. One of her favorite activities is including her in your hair brushing routine in the morning. Sponge is a very sweet baby. She loves sleeping on you (on her terms) and enjoys watching things with you. One of her favorite activities is watching you play video games! She does try to take a turn if you're using a keyboard. Sponge is a fairly low energy cat. She is often easily overstimulated and will not hesitate to let you know that she is. She does enjoy giving kisses when petting and will ensure you are not alone while using the bathroom. Sponge also responds to monkey, smushy, honey, and mumpy.
