About PEBBLES

PEBBLES is a 9-year-old, 9.6 lb Chihuahua surrendered due to a change in her owner's lifestyle. She spent her first days in rescue looking for her person but has been adjusting. We would love to find her a new home soon so she can start to feel secure and loved again. PEBBLES is a sweet, loving little girl who forms a strong bond with her person and truly enjoys being close. She is a cuddlebug who loves to nap beside you, and tag along for car rides. She has an easygoing nature in the home and is happiest when she feels secure and included in your day to day life. She will not do well in a home where she will spend time alone. PEBBLES coexists with other dogs but mostly keeps to herself. If there are other dogs in the home, they should be small and closer to her age. She has not been tested with cats. We feel she would do best in a kid-free home or with older children who can respect her calm temperament. PEBBLES is housebroken, leash-friendly, and rides well in the car. She settles in nicely for outings and does well with a routine. When left alone, she is most comfortable in a smaller, secure area of the home where she can relax, as she can become anxious without her person. She gives a soft sad little howl the entire time that they are gone. PEBBLES will require a secure fenced yard, as she will wander if given the opportunity and does not naturally stay close without a boundary. At night, PEBBLES loves to sleep in the big bed with her person, right where she feels safest and most content. PEBBLES is spayed, up to date on shots, has had a dental, is heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
