About Ryder

Ryder is a 6-month-old, poodle mix that weighs around 25-30 lbs - with a little growing left to do, but not much. He is a gentle, sensitive boy who's still learning that the world is a safe and happy place. He can be a bit timid at first, but give him a little time and patience and you'll see his sweet personality start to shine. Once he feels comfortable, he absolutely loves other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from having canine friends around. He would do best in a home with a confident, friendly dog (or two!) to help show him the ropes. He also adores affection from his favorite people and will happily soak up all the pets once he trusts you. He's doing great with the basics-he uses a doggie door, appears to be house trained, and sleeps quietly through the night in his crate. Because of his sensitive nature, he'd do best in a home with older, respectful kiddos who understand how to give him space when he needs it. This sweet boy is looking for a patient, loving home that will continue building his confidence and celebrate all the little wins along the way. In return, you'll get a loyal, loving companion who just needed a little extra time to blossom.
