Sweet Artie Is Looking for His Forever Home Hi everyone! I'm helping my mom find a loving new home for her dog, Artie. Artie is a pit bull/bulldog mix, about 6 years old, neutered, and blind in one eye from an old puppyhood injury. He does not let that slow him down, though - he is still a happy, silly, affectionate boy with so much love to give. Artie has a big heart and really loves being around people. He enjoys attention, affection, couch time, bed snuggles, and just being included as part of the family. He has some basic training, like sit and stay, and responds best to calm, gentle, direct guidance. He would be happiest with someone active or with a family who has experience with larger dogs. He is strong and playful, so he needs regular walks, space to move, and someone who can help him keep learning good manners. A yard would be a huge plus. Because Artie can play rough without realizing his own strength, he may do best as the only dog, or with very careful introductions to other dogs. He would also likely do best with older kids who understand how to be calm and gentle with dogs. I'm looking for someone who will truly love him and treat him like family. He would not be a good fit for someone planning to keep him crated all day or leave him without regular attention and exercise. Artie is currently in San Antonio, and I live in San Marcos, but I can help arrange a weekend meet-up in a public place for anyone seriously interested.
