Obi and Oats are two young cats who've spent their whole lives together. They eat together, sleep together, groom each other and when the world feels scary - which it often does for them - they rely on each other. These boys are only one year old and they're already running out of time. Their owner is leaving Houston mid to end of May and has made it clear: if no one steps up, they go to a shelter. For two shy, undersocialized cats who've never had a real chance to learn to trust humans, a shelter isn't a second chance. It's likely the end. These boys aren't broken. They're just scared. Here's some information: Bonded brothers - they must stay together, always Sweet and gentle - zero aggression, ever Very shy - they need someone patient who understands that trust takes time Only 1 year old - young enough to come all the way around to trusting humans - with the right person Both neutered and fully up to date on shots If you've ever had a shy cat finally crawl into your lap for the first time, you know what that moment feels like. Obi and Oats are capable of that. They just need someone willing to wait for it. Not ready to fully commit? A local Houston rescue organization will allow you to foster, while you figure out if adoption is the right fit. Their medical expenses would be fully covered. These two brothers have only ever had each other. Their human was mostly absent. Imagine being the person who gives them something more.
