Meet Chloe Sunshine Location: Boerne, TX DOB: 06/06/2018 Chloe Sunshine is a beautiful Great Dane mix whose journey is a true testament to resilience, healing, and the power of love. She came into rescue after surviving on her own in a remote area of Texas, where she had to be humanely trapped just to receive help. Before that, she endured distemper, which left her with a small facial and mouth tic that doesn't bother her one bit. When Chloe was rescued, she was malnourished, exhausted, and pregnant. Tragically, her puppies did not survive, and she required emergency surgery to save her life. During her recovery, she was spayed and had several damaged teeth removed-likely worn down from trying to escape confinement. With proper care, nourishment, and rest, Chloe slowly began her journey toward healing. When she first entered foster care, Chloe was completely shut down and terrified of people. Given a quiet, safe space and the freedom to move at her own pace, she began to take small, brave steps forward. The presence of other dogs helped her tremendously, showing her that she was safe and allowing her to learn how to trust again. Today, Chloe Sunshine is a completely different dog. She has blossomed into a joyful, curious, and playful girl who is learning to embrace life. She absolutely thrives with other dogs-playing, wrestling, and taking comfort in their companionship-so a home with a confident canine friend would be ideal for her. Chloe loves her toys and will happily toss them in the air to entertain herself. Mealtime and park time are her favorite parts of the day, and her excitement is contagious. She enjoys chewing on bones, sunbathing in the yard, using the doggy door, and is always ready for a car ride adventure. She shows affection in the sweetest ways-leaning in for chest and neck scratches, offering little bows, and greeting her people with an adorable happy dance that perfectly matches her name. Chloe has shown she can adapt to new environments and continue building trust, but she will thrive in a patient, gentle home that understands her past and is committed to continuing her journey. She deserves a family who will celebrate her progress, respect her pace, and give her the love and security she has always needed. After everything she's been through, Chloe Sunshine is no longer just surviving-she's truly living.
